Job description

At Aftershoot, we’re building a global community of photographers who spend less time behind their screens and more time behind the lens. Every feature we create, every update we ship, is designed to make post-processing easier, faster, and smarter for photographers around the world.

From culling to editing to retouching. Our AI tools do all the heavy lifting, so photographers can focus on what they do best: capturing moments, telling stories, and creating magic.

We’re a fast-growing, passionate team backed over 100K+ active users globally. Double-digit ARR in less than 4 years, amazing investors and team who truly believe in our mission.

Our mission is clear: Become the default companion for every photographer in the world.

If you care deeply about building meaningful products, working with curious and driven teammates, and being part of a team that genuinely loves what they do, we’d love to meet you.

Let’s create the future of AI in photography, together.

About the Role

This is a fully hands-on role. You'll spend your days identifying the right events, pitching sponsorships, designing our presence, and representing Aftershoot to thousands of photographers, some already using us, many who've never heard of us. You're not managing a checklist; you're engineering how photographers discover and experience Aftershoot in the wild.

You'll travel regularly across the US, own everything from sponsor negotiations to booth design to on-site execution. You'll talk to customers about how they're using the product, answer hard questions, watch how people interact with our tools, and come back with clear insights about what resonates. You'll also build local communities of Aftershoot users in key cities, not for influencer deals, but because photographers deserve spaces to connect, learn, and share.

You're the first person in the room and the last to leave. That's the job.

💼 What you’ll do:

  • Source, evaluate, and pitch sponsorships with relevant photography conferences, trade shows, and creative events across the US (both niche and general)

  • Negotiate sponsorship terms, deliverables, booth placement, and speaking opportunities, and know when an event isn't worth the investment

  • Own all event logistics: booth design and setup, vendor coordination, materials shipping, on-site operations, and breakdown

  • Represent Aftershoot authentically at every event, demo the product, engage customers, answer questions, and create moments that turn attendees into advocates

  • Engage with attendees across the funnel: delight existing customers, educate prospects, and leave a lasting impression on photographers who've never heard of us

  • Build and nurture Aftershoot communities in key US cities through customer meetups, workshops, and local events that keep the conversation going between trade shows

  • Coordinate with Growth, Product Marketing, and Content teams to ensure event strategies feed into broader campaigns and campaigns drive attendance

  • Track what matters: quality of attendees engaged, conversion to trial/paid users, customer feedback gathered, content generated, and ROI per event. Know which events move the needle

  • Identify emerging events and communities worth betting on before they're crowded

  • Gather customer insights at events and feed them back to product and marketing teams

🫂What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of events, marketing, or community experience, ideally with hands-on ownership of the full event lifecycle from pitch to follow-up

  • Proven track record owning event budgets and showing clear ROI. You can walk us through what you spent, where, and what impact it drove (signups, trials, customer satisfaction, etc.)

  • Experience engaging with customer or user communities (building loyalty, hosting events, creating spaces where people connect)

  • Logistical competence and comfort with the controlled chaos of live events. You anticipate problems and solve them on your feet

  • Excellent written and spoken English. You'll pitch to event organizers, present on stages, and debrief leadership, so clarity and persuasiveness are non-negotiable

  • A genuine interest in photography, creative communities, or the prosumer tools space (you don't need to be a photographer, but you need to understand why photographers care)

  • Comfort with travel - you'll be on the road regularly across US time zones

  • Should have a valid US visa (B1/B2 business visa, tourist visa, or equivalent) to attend and represent Aftershoot at events

What happens after you apply?

  1. Step 1: If your profile aligns with our vibe and requirements for the role, our people team will reach out to you for a brief phone call.

  2. Step 2: If everything aligns, your next chat will be with one of your future team members to better understand the role and your experience.

  3. Step 3: You will then be given a task - this helps us evaluate your thought process and help you showcase your expertise.

  4. Step 4: If everything goes well, you will meet the leadership for a quick bar-raiser round.

  5. Step 5: If you do manage to clear all rounds, this is the point we make an offer, shake hands, and welcome you to the team.

You will work with:

  1. Captain: Kunal

  2. Team Members: Lorena and the rest of the Aftershoot team.
